Nano is the future
for agritech.
Gennate is a deep-tech company focused on sustainable agriculture and advanced nanotechnology.
Its continuous-flow Nano-Formulator™ platform is designed to produce functional nanoparticles and nano-fertilisers affordably and at industrial scale—removing production bottlenecks and making precision plant nutrition more accessible to growers worldwide.
£2.5m Series A,
open.
Opened in August 2026, the round will scale Gennate’s reactor technology and bring its nano-formulated products to market through established fertiliser and biostimulant companies.
With partnerships across Europe, the Americas and Southeast Asia, Gennate is moving into its next phase of growth.
Gennate Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company no. 13936445. The company operates from laboratories at Manchester Science Park, home to its nanoreactors and molecular characterisation equipment.

Investment Scheme
(EIS).
Eligible investors can claim up to 30% Income Tax relief on qualifying EIS investments—up to £1 million per tax year, or £2 million where at least £1 million is invested in knowledge-intensive companies.
Relief depends on the investor’s circumstances, the company’s qualifying status and continued compliance with the scheme.
Read the official EIS guidanceIncome Tax relief on qualifying investment, subject to limits.
Maximum annual investment eligible for EIS relief; up to £2m for qualifying knowledge-intensive investment.
Minimum holding period for the principal share reliefs.
CGT deferral relief may apply to gains reinvested in qualifying EIS shares.
Tax relief is not guaranteed. Investors must receive an EIS3 certificate before claiming, and individual eligibility depends on personal circumstances and continued scheme compliance. Loss relief may also be available on qualifying losses. This summary is not tax advice.
Seed round — £550,000, closed March 2026. Led by SFC Capital, with co-investment from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and participation from Salonica Infinity Fund.
A large market,
moving slowly.
The global fertiliser market is growing at around 3% a year. Most of what it sells is still absorbed inefficiently by the plants it is sold for.
Growers under pressure on yield and input cost · Sustainable and regenerative farming systems · Governments and national food systems
Climate stress is no longer occasional · Efficiency is the only lever left on the same land · Sustainability pressure on conventional inputs
Stabiliser-free nanoparticles, stable by design · Tuneable to crop, nutrient and conditions · Continuous-flow nanoreactor, built to scale
Measured,
not promised.
Gennate’s own trials, run against a water control and measured over time rather than claimed.
In a 48 hour dry-down, the nano-treated trays kept standing green shoots while water and soluble zinc collapsed.
